I’m getting fixated on wild boars.  This last February, my buddy Danny and I hunted Ocmulgee WMA (Area 1) with some folks from the Georgia Outdoor News forums, and while we saw a lot of sign in the woods, we didn’t see a single bristle or snout.

‘Frog,’  one of the other Forum folks who lives in the area, told us to come back at the start of small game season, pick a persimmon tree, put a stand up nearby, and be ready for action, and that’s what I plan to do.  I have my Bowtech Specialist, which is getting reset for hunting this week with a Spot-Hogg sight and Octane quiver, and my treestand ready to go. (I make that sound like a chore, but the quiver mounts on the sight block, so really, it’s ‘take two screws out, pull the Toxonics Naildriver off of the bow, put the Spot-Hogg on the riser, put two screws back in it.)
That being said, I’ll be focusing on the following topics for the next two months or so:

  • Archery Shoots
  • Feral Hog
  • Preseason deer tips and tricks
  • Tournament Archery tips and tricks
  • Anything that catches my eye and/or more movie reviews if I feel like it.
  • Store events at Gable Sporting Goods
